The Savvy Freelancer’s Guide to Canadian Taxes: Tips and Tricks for Gig Workers
As a freelancer or gig worker in Canada, understanding your tax obligations is critical to maintaining a successful and compliant business.
How to calculate your Canadian Corporate Income Tax
The purpose of this calculator is to provide an estimate of your corporate income tax that can be used for monthly tax provisions, where a detailed calculation is not necessary, or for computing your year-end Top-Up payment to be paid within 2 months (Non-CCPC) or 3 months (CCPC) after the end of your financial year.
To use the calculator most effectively, we strongly recommend obtaining the appropriate tax rate from one of our 2020 or 2021 Tax Rate calculators first. For multi-jurisdiction corporations in Quebec and/or Alberta, please extract the corresponding prorated Provincial tax rate from the appropriate calculator.
For an Interim, Budget, Quarterly or Year-end more detailed Tax Provision, or to discuss your results, please reach out to Strata-G and we would be pleased to assist.
